65% Gewürztraminer, 35% Chardonnay
This is the first-ever vintage of MianU, a vibrant orange wine with a glowing amber hue, textured body, and layered depth. Thoughtfully crafted to complement everything from casual gatherings to special celebrations, MianU stands beautifully on its own, but its versatility also makes it an excellent companion to fresh seafood, seasonal vegetables, hard cheeses, and bolder, spiced dishes. Rooted in Ian’s legacy, this wine turns ordinary moments into something memorable.
Regina’s Tasting Notes Apricot, Melogold, Seville Orange, Honeysuckle, White Pepper
Lively, aromatic Gewürztraminer from McFadden Farm dominates our Orange blend, and undergoes skin contact to develop its signature amber hue and rich stone fruit complexity. Chardonnay from Hawkeye Ranch, which adds balanced structure, is whole-bunch pressed and fermented in stainless steel to preserve its fresh, bright character. Both components are aged in neutral oak for six months, and bottled unfined and unfiltered with just 27ppm of total SO2 to maintain the wine’s pure, vibrant, and meticulously crafted qualities.
Sustainability
Sustainability is woven into everything we do at MianU, with each bottle crafted thoughtfully to reflect our reverence for the world around us. We’re proud to partner with McFadden Farm and Hawkeye Ranch, two vineyards that lead the way with organic, eco-friendly farming practices. Their methods enhance soil health, encourage biodiversity, and promote long-term environmental stewardship. That same commitment and intention guides our cellar, where low-intervention winemaking lets the wine speak for itself. Together, these practices exemplify the harmony between a thoughtful approach and environmental responsibility at the core of MianU’s philosophy.
